Memorial Gift to Create a Scholarship Fund

Andrea Nicole "Nikki" Ferguson lived most of her life in Yuma and was a Yuma High School student at the time of her passing from a rare illness. Before her death, her years as a volunteer at Yuma Regional Medical Center inspired her to work toward a career in nursing. Meanwhile, her part-time employment experiences and participation in DECA-Association of Marketing Students and Cooperative Office Education (COE) at Yuma High School created an interest in a business career.

In memory of their beautiful daughter, Greg and Ana Ferguson established the Nikki Ferguson Healthcare/Business Scholarship Fund at the Yuma Community Foundation with a gift of $50,000. This endowed fund will help Yuma High School students pursue careers in health or business professions.

Although her life was cut much too short, Nikki's dream of service to the community will live on through others.
